Pastor Barry Kang
Hometown: Hong Kong/Seoul
Birthday: November 14, 1975
Degrees: AB Stanford University 1997; M.Div, Fuller Theological Seminary, 2007.
My Bio : I am currently the Temple site pastor of Grace Covenant Church. Before entering into ministry, I worked for six years in Los Angeles as a bond-trader before receiving my calling into ministry in 2003. I served for five years at the Church of Southland (an AMI church) where I oversaw the college ministry, and then in March 2008, I joined Grace Covenant Church.
I am married to Sunny and have two fantastic boys (Caleb, four, and Micah, one).
Why I am going: God has given me a passion to help college students to love Christ and walk in His love.

Sunny Kang
Hometown: Seoul, Korea (grew up in So. California)
Birthday: July 2
Degrees: BS Electrical Engineering, MA Mathematics
What I will be doing in Boston: Being a part of the church plant team, taking care of 2 very energetic boys and hopefully find a teaching job.
Why I am going: I want to be a part of God's kingdom work...sharing Christ with college students, helping them grow, and seeing lives transformed and changed.
Fun fact: Cooking and menu planning are my hobbies. I could spend hours reading recipes!
Prayer Requests: Please pray that I can be a good mom to my children and a strong support to my husband, especially as things will become busy during the beginning years of this church plant. Also, please pray for spiritual protection and that I will continue to make my time with God the greatest priority.

Cindy Lee
Hometown: Boston, MA
Birthday: April 22nd
Degrees: M.S.E and B.S.E in Mechanical Engineering, University of Pennsylvania
What I will be doing in Boston: Church Planting/ Hopefully be employed by some gracious Boston company
Why I am going: Everyone deserves to have the chance to meet Christ and I know that as I carry His message, He will teach me something along the way.
Fun Fact: As the saying goes, east coast people are fast paced people, and I live up to that stereotype. I talk and walk fast. In fact as a kid, I used to race in everything, including eating, writing and doing homework assignments.
Prayer Requests: Please pray that I would develop a greater heart for college students and to be able to relate to them more. For courage and strength as I adjust to life back in Boston and face the challenges of church-planting. For greater patience and love for my family, for they are are not Christian. For a sense of peace of whether God may call me to in the next few years and a constancy of His presence in my life as I go through the ups and downs of job searching.

Doug Tritton
Hometown: Yardley, PA
Birthday: March 1st
Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Economics (Accounting concentration) and Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering), University of Pennsylvania
What I will be doing in Boston: Systems Integration Consulting for Accenture
Why I am going: I am going because I think this is a great opportunity to join in God's work to expand His Kingdom. Ever since hearing about the church plant, I knew God needed people to participate in the work and now God has given me an open door to go to Boston.
Fun fact: I love Philadelphia sports teams, but when I move to Boston I am willing to cheer slightly for the Celtics (I like the color green a lot), Red Sox (I really dislike the Yankees), and Bruins. However, I WILL NOT EVER cheer for the Patriots.
Prayer Requests: Please pray that I will be able balance my work and church ministry so that I can do all with all my heart. Also, pray for my personal growth in Christ, that my own relationship with Christ will be fruitful as I serve in Boston. |

Birthday: January 27th
Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology [Candidate], University of Pennsylvania
What I will be doing in Boston: Serving as a high school science teacher with Teach for America
Why I am going: As a college student, I always wanted to end up in Chicago after I graduated. I know that God is going to do great things and I am so excited and privileged to be a part of His work in Boston!
Fun Fact:I love being active (playing sports, dancing), but I have never learned how to ride a bike!
Prayer Requests: Please pray that I will be able to trust God fully with my Teach for America responsibilities. Also that I would have a more patient, loving, and joyful heart, and that Christ would be my sole desire. Please pray for our team unity and that God will continue to open up doors in Boston!
