About
Micronesia:
Population: 108 thousand
Location: Island group in N. Pacific
Area: 4 times the size of D.C.
Major languages: English
Major religion: Roman Catholic, Protestant
The
Micronesian and Peru team just finished the last of our packing
and black sheep cutouts (for VBS preparation). The past few
weeks have been filled with intensive training where we prepared
ourselves for the trip, through physical exercise and bonding
through prayer.
We
travel to Michigan on Sunday to meet with the other AMI churches.
There, we will share with the each other skit ideas, body
worship, and VBS lessons and we must devote most of our time
to learning each and every skit/song/lesson. We are 11 members
strong from GCC and the past few weeks have been not only
filled with running and training, but with laughter and random
team moments.
Prayer
Requests:
1. While we are in Michigan, give us the strength to be effective
and productive while coordinating with the other churches.
May the team be focused not only on memorizing the skits
and the motions for the dances, but keeping God at the
center of it all.
2. For
the leadership, that God may speak through them and
that they may guide the team.
3. For
the team to have a good attitude. Most of the members
are going to the missionary field for the first time.
Though we do not know what to expect, we want the team
to trust in God. Whatever task is at hand, pray that
we will do it with a worshipful attitude.
Thank you GCC for all your prayers and support, and thank
God especially for this opportunity to serve.
